Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain.
An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind,
but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.

Happy Mother's Day!

Apparently, Mason has decided to give huge gifts for Mother's and Father's Days. Last year, the day before Mother's Day, Mason finally came off of the CPAP and transitioned to oxygen in a nasal cannula. Then, the day before Father's Day, he came home after 3 long months in the NICU. This year, no exception, Mason gave me a wonderful gift for Mother's Day....yesterday, he came home again!

Mason is doing well since coming home. We were able to turn his oxygen down to 1.5 L early this morning and his heart rate was back down around or under 100 as he slept - for 14 hours mind you. He was still on a pretty high dose of steroids contributing to this, but hopefully, after a pretty big wean today, he'll still be doing well. It's wonderful to see him happy, smiling, and resting comfortably.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there. May you truly treasure the gifts your children bring.

Happy Mother's Day! Next year, how is he going to top the last two years! I pray he won't be in the hospital to begin with!!! I am so glad to hear he is home.
