There is a lot of power in prayer. We have seen this time and time again in Mason's life and now is no different. We recently got an email letting us know that a Novena was being said for Mason's dependency on oxygen. We all know that time will help his lungs grow, but we've had major challenges along the way. After this last hospitalization for a cold, we were pretty sure that we were going to see another long term rise in his oxygen need. But with the power of prayer and this Novena, we've seen quite the opposite. Mason is doing great with his oxygen need and is back down to where he was just after his surgery in December - sometimes even a little bit better. We've had him as low as 0.5L when he's sleeping and he's usually around 1.5L when he's awake. Before going into the hospital this last time, when he was doing "well" he was still needing 2.5-3L. We have seen an amazing improvement. THANK YOU FOR THE POWER OF PRAYER!
Haircut
Yes, it's true, Mason got his first haircut yesterday morning. His mullet was starting to get pulled by the oxygen tube, so we knew it was time. So, we took him to Kids Kuts and he was a champ! He was a little fidgety, but generally did well until the very end - apparently, the clippers weren't his favorite and he threw a little fit at the end when the back side was getting shaved a bit. No more mullet, no more curls that stick out everywhere despite repeated wetting down and brushing. Now he's just a little boy with a little boy haircut.
Teeth
He is also getting some serious teeth action these days, too. 2 teeth on his upper right are cutting through and 2 more are thinking about it. Despite all, he's doing great with his oxygen, his sense of humor, and his sleep. If this is an indication of what he's really like when teething, I really had it wrong before. He's managing like a trooper!
Milk
We're also trying to introduce some dairy into Mason's life. Now that he's over a year in both chronological and adjusted age, his body should be able to handle the addition. If this goes well, we might just start trying to feed Mason from a bottle again. Keep your fingers crossed.

What a wonderful post. I love the haircut and is inspiring me...maybe it's time for Joey to have one.
So, glad about the O2. We will continue to pray!
