Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain.
An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind,
but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.

Sleep. Wonderful, Marvelous Sleep!

As some may know, this has been quite the week for sleep. Between Bill's knee surgery (he's doing better and better every day) and Mason's cold, we haven't had a lot of sleep. But last night, last night was WONDERFUL! Mason slept well and through the night - he even got back down to 2 L of oxygen and rested comfortably, Bill was able to sleep at home without baby interruptions, and I let the nurses take care of everything and slept through the night at the hospital with Mason.

Mason is doing better (staying at 4L of oxygen or lower - baseline for him over the past few months is 2-3L) and they've started to wean him back down on the steroids. We are hoping that he tolerates the wean, but if not, then we'll go back to square one and start a very, very slow wean like we did after his surgery in December. We now know how to do it, so it's really no big deal. We just want to have the doctors monitor him for the initial trial.

I haven't heard if we're going home today, tomorrow, or another day. I guess we'll just see how it goes through the day.

We just caught up with your blog... we were out of town. I am so sorry to hear you are back in the hospital. We will keep you in our prayers for a trip home soon. I am jealous about the sleep. We were up at 5am for a feeding. ugh.
