Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain.
An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind,
but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.

We will be holding a Funeral Mass in honor of Mason Ryder on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 4:00 pm at St. Therese Catholic Church in Portland.  Following the Mass, there will be a reception in the adjacent Parish Social Center.  All are welcome to come celebrate the life of our precious miracle.

Christi & Bill - my deepest sympathy...I never met Mason but am so deeply touched. Mason was such an inspiration and brought so many of us together in prayer. May you both find peace in knowing he is now with our Lord and Savior and will be watching over you. I pray for your spiritual healing.

There were many of us at Foothills Church in Molalla and bible study group praying for Mason - below are some words from my friend Sherrie Rhoades

"Sue I am so sorry to hear the news…please give the family our condolences.  Even though we didn’t know baby Mason we saw a glimpse of what inspiration and  hope that someone so small  could display.    How children in their innocence can be so powerful to those around them.  Thank you for letting us be a part of his little life.  Our prayers go out to his family."

Christi your walk in life reminds me of our Mother Mary who had to watch her son endure so much pain before he died. I hope that Mary will keep you close, comfort you and ease your pain. May you and Bill find some peace in knowing that Mary will be watching over Mason for you until you can meet again.

Christi my heart goes out to you and your family. You have been so amazing and strong. Thank you for sharing Mason's life through his blog. He is truly a special gift and his time on earth was so short, yet he lived life so large. He is an amazing inspiration to all of us.

Christi and Bill, I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the Mass. I'd really have liked to be there. I want to let you know that I'm still thinking of you.

Dear Christi and Bill,
The Mass for little Mason was a beautiful tribute to his life. I so admire your courage and strength. Christi I am certain Mason smiled down upon you as you spoke with such beauty, grace and elegance. As Donnie told me today you were amazing! The days ahead will be difficult and heart wrenching. May you both be held tenderly in the palm of God's hand and wrapped in the comfort of special graces. With love, Kathy

Our prayer chain will now ask for prayers for the two of you. The Lord knows you very well and what it is that you might need. May you be feeling His loving presence very near.
